Moneyball Inspired Balanced Scorecard
Academy Award’s nominee movie “Moneyball” was based on a book titled “Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game” – a true story written by Michael Lewis - about the Oakland Athletics baseball team and its general manager Billy Beane. Its focus is the team's analytical, evidence-based, sabermetric approach to assembling a competitive baseball team, despite Oakland's disadvantaged revenue situation (source: Wikipedia). Beane turned the failing low-budget baseball team into a winning one, using the power of statistical analysis. The movie starred Hollywood heavyweight Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill.
